dxgkrnl.sys not loading on bootlog file (4 times)

I've exhausted my ideas other then trying a complete clean re-install and making sure you have all updates. Sorry. :(

I got one final thing. Try with one memory stick installed. Try each one separately.

Done - no effect. It's a driver issue, dxgkrnl.exe is "Microsoft DirectX Kernel Driver" and it's failing to load

I know it is a driver loading failure but grabbing at straws. I have seen where bad memory can cause some pretty strange issues. Oh well. :(

Thanks for the help. I just realised I'm stupid - I looked at the log more closely, and realised that the dxgkrnl.sys driver does infact load, but it also redundantly loads a few times after, failing. I'm not sure why it tries to reload when it's already loaded once successfully.
Microsoft (R) Windows (R) Version 6.3 (Build 9600) 8 27 2014 01:13:46.489 BOO - Pastebin.com

That's the pastebin. Notice on line 61, the driver loads successfully, however on line 63, 108, 113, 140, and 144, it fails to load.

Maybe this will open up a new path of troubleshooting - It loads once successfully, but tries to load again and fails a few times.

I've ran RegScanner and searched for dxgkrnl.sys, and there seems to be more entries than possibly needed, but I'm unsure whether it's safe to delete any or not, so I haven't touched anything yet. Screenshot of the registry entries for dxgkrnl.exe attached:

I know it's been 8 months, but I'm just curious if you ever found a solution. I stumbled across this post after running into the same issue. I'm running Windows 10 Technical Preview and just did a clean install on a new SSD. I was expecting it to boot much faster, but that hasn't been the case at all. It boots and then just hangs on a black screen for 30-60 seconds before finally logging it. I ran the bootlog and found the same thing with dxgkrnl.sys failing to load several times. I'd appreciate any help I can get with this.

Hey.

Unfortunately I didn't ever find a fix, just kind of living with it and got used to it. I never clean installed because I couldn't really be bothered looking into it but I might do this Summer when I get more free time.

Hi all,
It looks like a year passed since the last feedback were given to this post,
Unfortunately I've just landed with the same issue. Windows 10 installed onto HP dv7-6140ew laptop, around 1 minute gap during start (with dark screen) - then everything is working fine.
This is the fresh Windows 10 instance, with all patches added (through Windows Update).
The same issue in bootlog with dxgkrnl.sys (BOOTLOG_NOT_LOADED \SystemRoot\System32\drivers\dxgkrnl.sys) - not sure whether this is the reason of gap.
Can not find a way to avoid this 1 minute gap with dark screen existing during Windows start.
Would be grateful for your remarks if you connected any new experience over this last year.
Thanks a lot in advance!
Bambosz
