Getting Dropbox to launch on boot up on Win 8.1 (64bit)
Hi all
I have Dropbox 3.05 installed on my Windows 8.1 (64 bit)machine (HP Laptop).
The icon is on the main screen, however it fails to launch on startup of the laptop - despite having it set to do so, both in the Dropbox program as well as in the start up folder.
When I look at the program details, it appears to be a 32bit program installed. I don't know if this is causing problems, however I am unable to find a 64bit of Dropbox for Windows 8.1.
I have a feeling that it is UAC that maybe stopping the program from launching on startup of the machine.
When I double click on the Dropbox icon to start the program manually, the typical UAC screen comes up (YES/NO) before proceeding.
Anything thoughts, comments, suggestions as to getting DropBox to start when the laptop boots up, as then it would automatically sync files WITHOUT the manual intervention to start DropBox....
Appreciate your thoughts/comments
