I can share files and folders both ways on my home network between my Win 8 desktop and my Win 7 laptop at will. But I can't share a drive (S on the desktop with the laptop. I've always been able to do this between Win 7 and XP machines. The shared drive (S shows up on the laptop but when I try to access it I get a message saying something like, "Windows cannot access the file..... You do not have permission to access....." I have the permissions set to read/write.
Is there something special I need to do under Win 8 to share the drive?
Thank you.
