i get the windows search one aswell, it actually bugged me so much that i ****ed around with regedit and changed things that shouldnt be changed, so i ended up reinstalling os

that's why I leave things alone ,not sure what search its talking about ,I would assume windows 7 file search ,I don't have much on the computer so I don't use file search ,so I don't care

See if this helps. It should be the MS fixit for that exact error (funny you chose that one - it's also the one I used in my example)

Event ID 10 is logged in the Application log after you install Service Pack 1 for Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2

froller2 - you can run the MS fixit too. It will stop the "error" from being erroneously reported

Just click the Fix it for me - you don't have to fix it yourself.

search complains about everything! If search isn't working (or anything else for that matter), then investigate. Start a thread and ask for help. There are lots of people around here that are more than willing to give you an assist.

The forums are not a school however - we all volunteer our time. So if you're interested in a subject ask and someone will head you in the right direction, tehn go learn and ask more questions. If your machine has an issue that you can't solve - ask and members will jump in to help.

thanks for the fixit, but is not compatible with my version of windows ,and as I said I just ignore the error unless iam having an issue then I look for a fix ,

Hmmmm, darn MS Fixit - try MR fixit

Look further down at the Let me fix it myself. That is one of the event log entries that bug me. An error that is not an error! Or would that be an error. An error that is not an error is erroneous - that's better.
