Hi Everyone

I was wondering if anyone could help me out. I recently updated my windows 8 hp laptop to 8.1 and since then I have been having problems. First the update did not install properly and i had to reformat the laptop and do a clean install. After this I found that the graphics adapter driver is not getting installed. Have checked in with HP support forums and have not been able to get a solution. I would like to go back to windows 8. But the problem is that I have no windows 8 media for installation. Can anyone tell me where to get one for windows 8 single language??

If it's a brand-name Notebook there should be a partition on it, sometimes hidden, that contains the files needed to reset it back to its as-shipped condition, check your documentation or visit the maker's site to determine how to do it. Just be sure to save any of your data to other media first or you will lose it.

I think its too late for that since he clean installed?

I would go to the manufactures support website look up your exact model and you'll find a path and procedure to upgrade to 8.1. Since you have Clean installed that won't be helpful. That same location will have a download section for all the drivers you need to download and install for your computer to work correctly. Some of your hardware needs specific driver for 8.1 to work correctly mainly Wi-Fi and Bluetooth every model is different but you'll be quite happy once you get these upgraded drivers installed.

@AdamF, I did see the post.... but it doesnt help me.
@Berton, have performed clean install so i dont think reset is possible.
@Clintlgm, I have downloaded the driver from the hp site itself.. but it doesnt work. The error msg that appears is "Application Install: install package failure!"

Thank you all for the very prompt replies. Dint expect so fast.

Change your video driver to the Standard MS Basic, then uninstalled what ever video driver that you have installed. reboot and try your updated for Win 8.1 Video driver package.
