Dell Inspiron 3512 Win8 x64bit
(Uninspiring laptop)
The things we do for love -- my daughters new laptop
I want to disable the splash screen (date + time) window -- permanently. (it only shows the date and time, nothing else)
A Dell bloat feature that hinders productivity. Dell support has not replied in 9 days, why am I not surprised?
When laptop wakes up from sleep (or boot/reboot) the pest splash screen (then login, again!) stops workflow.
ie, one key to close the splash screen THEN password to to login (and I only stopped to scratch my ear)
I have followed the instructions at Dell "How to disable the Dell splash screen" for "For Dell™ Inspiron™ 3500, 5000, 7500, and 7000 Systems
... "Quite Boot" option does not exist in the BIOSS? window.
How do I permanently disable the splash screen , it serves no usefull function other than more clicks to start work.
Would appreciate any help
