Dell won't provide promised Windows 8.1 license

Just caught up with this now... just by way of explanation:

The Product key retrieval options 5 and 6 mentioned use the same process via WMI - it's Windows 8.1 specific - I wrote this version to be OS independant...Showkey

... and yes RMA'd boards do not have a firmware key.

Seems there definitely is misrepresentation by Dell here!

It would certainly be easy to miss out otherwise overlook the little envelope with the key. I actually called Del to report the problem and later found the key....meaning I didn't see it when I had called.

Using that tool, it shows there is no oem key in the firmware, so same as it ever was.

I can't find the system documentation, and the envelopes and the rest I ... did something with in the past. Annoying, I like to think I'm usually good about such things.
