Hello

I have a question about the an MSI GPU into an different brand motherboard (ASUS in this case). Now I know you are able to put an different GPU brand in another GPU MB but I was wondering how this works with UEFI system. I am talking about the GPU MSI N750-2GD5/OC.

Though I am not sure if this is true, so that's why I am asking if I can use this GPU properly even with an UEFI system. My Windows is even installed in UEFI instead of the legacy mode.

Thanks already for responding

I looked up that Add-in PCIe-X16 card and it should work if you motherboard has room for it. Most times it will automatically disable the onboard/built-in video adapter. I've not seen a setting in the BIOS to disable the onboard GPU like can be done with Audio and Network, probably doing so would essentially kill the motherboard if the Add-in card failed and couldn't see anything happening.

It won't kill it, a simple BIOS reset can fix that. Particular make of GPU and MB doesn't make any difference but there are some GPUs that require UEFI on MB but that one doesn't and could be used with UEFI BIOS or legacy one.
