I have a program on my work computer (Cisco Jabber 10.6) that opens automatically at startup. I want it to open at startup, that's fine. The problem though is that it opens its window at startup. If I close the window completely (using the X) then it minimizes to the tray, which is again what I want, but if I minimize the window it stays open in my taskbar like a normal program.
Is there a way to force the program to start in the system tray without opening the window, or to automatically close the window after it has been opened? Right now the program opens via the registry (HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run), but it also works when opened via the Startup folder. Specifying to minimize in the Startup folder shortcut just does the previously-mentioned behavior; opens the window like normal but keeps it minimized instead of no window and tray, which is what I want. This is on Windows 8.1 Enterprise (x64).
