First, the pleasantries:
Howdy, all.
Now, the less-pleasant bits....
I've been trying Win8 for a few weeks and am just starting to get the hang of things.
Then all of a sudden, yesterday, I start seeing Chinese on the app icons.
Being the sly and resourceful fella that I am....I googled it.
That lead me to a forum post, somewhere, of someone else having the same issue. The recommendation to that similarly afflicted poor soul, was that they should "refresh" their system and that doing so would fix the Chinese without harming any programs files or settings.
By-golly...I needed me some of that cure-all. So I went and done it.
Guess what....
Wiped my system. Me not happy camper. grr ugh!
So Ive spent the past day trying to rebuild everything.
Oh, and the most lovely part of all.....now I got Chinese EVERYWHERE. Its on the app icons, its in Internet explorer websites, its in firefox websites.
Yes, Ive checked my language setting...english. But the displays are chinese.
Any helpful hints? (other than not to be an idiot by trying to be an early-adapter...at my obviously insufficient skill-level)
Thanks for your help.
