Hello everybody. Recently, I've been having a lot of trouble with trying to merge a partition of 901MB in unallocated space into my C: drive, but I can"t seem to move them together. The unallocated space is furthest to the left and my C: drive is furthest to the right with my 3 system partitions in the way between them. Is it possible for me to move them together, or do my system partitions make that impossible? I'll provide photos of both my disk management window and my "EaseUS Partition Master" window below.

I can't move ANY of the partitions that are in the way of my 901 MB partition, (even if I wanted to). I also can't move my main C: drive either. I try to drag it to the left, but it won't move past my system partitions. The same goes for the 901MB partition if I try and drag it to the right. Are the system partitions preventing me from moving these partitions? Any help is much appreciated.

you must move the reserve partition to the left - apply
move the next partition to the left - apply
move the next partition to the left - apply
then expand, merge or move the C partition

basically you have to walk the unallocated space to the right, by walking everything else to the left

Can't, I'm afraid. Apparently that reserved partition can't be moved or resized, it can only be copied. I'd have to copy that reserved partition over to my 901MB one and then delete the original in order to move the whole thing over to my C: drive. However, since that reserved partition is probably a crucial system's partition that probably won't end well. Not sure what to do next, frankly.

Here's a link to another thread in which I'm also discussing this issue. Just thought I'd add it for additional info: Can't Merge Unallocated Space to C: Drive - Disk Management - Storage

Do you have a Windows disc ?

A few options here I think... but please remember to back up all your data and so on first.

You could try making a system image of your C drive (using disk imaging such as Acronis) and storing that image externally. Then use a Windows disc to completely delete all partitions and take the drive down to unallocated space. Quickly reinstall Windows (don't bother with updates etc), reinstall your disc imaging software and restore the C drive image. That may well be 'unbootable' and you would then use the Windows disc to do a 'repair my PC' and reinstate the Master Boot Record.

You may well be able to delete all partitions with disc imaging software in which case you could use the imaging softwares 'bootable media' option to reinstall your image without having to have an OS present.
