Can't install windows 8 updates

Whoops, sorry for taking a really long time to reply.
A friend of mine suggested to reinstall windows, which I did.
The issue is now solved.

I've been trying to install the following updates for several weeks. My objective is to download and install the free Windows 8.1 update on my Windows 8 Pro x64 system, on a Compaq CQ-4010 desktop. Windows 8.1 failed because (I'm guessing) the updates below won't install. I've tried to install each of them singly, several multiple times, with my anti-virus (ASC 6 inactivated, and Rapport uninstalled). I've also deleted the Software Distribution/Download/ files. Thanks in advance for any ideas.
