Hi,
I can't seem to find a solution this anywhere online.
It's not been an issue in terms of system performance, but it's just annoying. And also a little weird.
I changed motherboards a while back. Old one had VIA audio. New one has Realtek.
Uninstalled the old drivers and installed new drivers when I made the hardware switch.
Current system works fine in every way, including the Realtek Audio.
The thing is, there is still an icon for "VIA HD Audio Deck" in control panel. When I click it, it tells me "application not found".
I have tried the tip to right-click to create a shortcut on desktop, and then find the actual file location from the new shortcut's details, but it does not show a location for the VIA cpl or other files, other than All Control Panel Items. Can't figure out how to get it out of there.
I have tried installing the old VIA drivers and uninstalling, no joy.
Anyone have any ideas on this?
