I have an Asus Aspire laptop with windows 8 on it. Recently my laptop has refused to load we pages. It says it is connected to the wifi and it will load the opening page for Google Chrome. If I try to go any further than that, it says the web page is unavailable. Any help would be awesome.

Need to know if it is a Public Wifi Hotspot, or your own private wifi. If it is your own. Who is your ISP, what is the manufacturer & model of your Router/Gateway?

What does it show when you attempt to load webpages? Do you get the same errors with other devices on your network, or is this the only one? Have you tried the following two commands in a Command window (without quotes): "ipconfig /flushdns" "netsh winsock reset catalog". Reboot and see if the adapter shows that it is now getting an IP and DNS info.

You can do all of this in the Desktop mode. Open up a Command Window and post the results of "ipconfig".

My ISP is cox, it's my home wifi. The router is Cisco. When I attempt to load a web page it says the web page is not available. When you click for more info it says "DNS look up failed." This is the only device I have the problem with. Everything else runs fine.
The ip config in the command window said it successfully flushed the DNS resolver cache and the reset said it was successful. Though, when I reload the web page the same error message occurs with the error code: DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN

You will always get that command. Now if you can please post the rest of the information I asked for. We can get further.
