Solved Cannot access pics to post

@ Dave

As you may know I'm a Windows "purist". Not partial to 3rd party browsers, but that's me. I will perform your testing methods. Thanks for posting.

@ Edwin

Good find and work a round. I'll try Dave's method first. If by chance that doesn't work I'll try yours. Thanks for posting that.

@ David Bailey

Thanks for testing and posting.

@Edwin,

Did you find a work-around (other than using FF)? I saw where you first posted this:

The 12.0.0.70 update seemed to fix it for me.

But then you later stated it is still not working? Please clarify if you have found a work-around that fixies this issue because it may be necessary to put this one to bed.

Thanks,

Ok. I disabled all the addons and rebooted with no positive results. However, I went to post in that thread and was able to download pics via Edwin's "Go advanced" option. Worked like a charm.

I enabled all my extensions again.

Dave, I do have the Shockwave Flash Object extension installed if that's what you were getting at.

LOL + 1/2!! I had to go into advanced mode to post that pic just now whereas I didn't have to in all my prior posts here.

Ok, thanks for testing. It sounds like Edwin's workaround (which I missed) might have to do for now.

Kudos to Edwin for his find!

One more way-off base thought. Have you totally cleared your IE cache? Mine is set to clear all on exit:

It seems odd that your original issue has now manifested itself.

No, I don't have mine set to clear. I just did. Let me try to post a pick.....

You're the gold cup winner, Dave! That was it! Clear the cache! 1,000 Inet points sent to you! :D

I'd rep you, but I have to spread some. Thank you much! You made my day!

I've got mine set to clear on exit too!
This is strange, (right click at the 'big red arrow')
Same as 'Go Advanced' I guess; also does this if I right click anywhere on the page and click refresh!?!?!?

So what you're saying is that a cleared cache doesn't help, but a page refresh does? If so, that's weird!

I linked on that Camtasia Studio looks to be a nice program. A little pricy though.

ha-ha, pricey yes! My trial runs out in 18 days! :(, but yes, it IS an excellent program.
Screencast.com is free, the Camtasia Studio program is the wallet killer!

As for the other issue, I think it has something to do with my security settings, (maybe/maybe not?!?!?!)

@Tony: Glad you got it working!
@Edwin: A refresh working would indicate there is something still being used in cache (if not working prior to the refresh). So, if you have your cache set to clear on exit, are the parameters set like mine exactly? I think my settings will wipe it totally clean (on exit):

I'm here if you would like to continue with any additional browser comparisons. Let me know.

Nothing I can think of at the moment but if I come up with anything I'll let you know.

Just to note: I was over on my Windows 8 partition recently and I don't think I had this problem over there on IE10. I'm not totally sure though and I can't check now because I obliterated that OS by mistake. I'll pop it back on there and check when I feel really ambitious. :)
