BSOD halmacpi.dll and sorahci.sys while restarting Windows
Hey guys
since a week I despair of installing my new SSD from Samsung (840 EVO 250GB) and don't know what I can do anymore.
I own an Alienware M17 R1 Laptop with a Seagate Momentus 7200.3 160GB HDD for 5 years now. Due to the fact that there was still a free Slot for another harddrive, I bought a SSD to run my OS on it and to place my Files on the HDD. On my HDD i installed Windows 8.1.
To have a clean Installation I assembled the new SSD and installed Windows 7 via my Windows 7 CD (I just own an Upgrade Software from Microsoft from 7 to 8 and because of that I first have to install Windows 7). So I installed Windows 7 on the SSD and then upgraded to Windows 8 without any errors or problems.
After that, I tried to install Windows Updates to get the opportunity for a Windows 8.1 Update.
There was the point, when I got the first BSOD (DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION). I had to install 126 Updates and the BSOD appeared, when all Updates where installed and Windows try to configurate the Updates. At 30% Windows wants to restart and suddenly the loading circle freezes and the BSOD appear. After that Windows restarts and deinstall the Updates.
I tried the Update procedure for a few times but it always failed at the same point.
Afterwards I searched the web and updated my Drivers. No success. Then I bought a Driver Update Tool which updated all of my drivers again (for the case, that I forgot one). No success. Then I reinstalled Windows an tried everything again. No success. Then I read that the RAM could be a problem, thats why i put in the original RAM and tried everything again. No success.
I nearly tried every suggestion I could find via Google, my nerves are really quite frayed and need some help!
Attached you can find my system Zip file.
I would appreciate every answer with an idea!
All the best
