Solved BSOD doing nothing and everything, 100 Bsod last month

Status
Not open for further replies.
Don't go spending money. Let us spend some time trying to nail things down and then we'll suggest some things to do.
For example, I usually recommend having a spare network card on hand (in case it dies in the middle of the night) - and they only cost about $15 US

I've asked at least 3 or 4 people to post suggestions here - so let's see what they can find.

I agree with John. Don't buy anything just yet. The point is to identify the cause and then eliminate it for good. Please see my previous post, and try these things. It might help us.

As I suspected, we might be on the right track! After this is complete, post screenshots of Samsung Magician's initial screen where it shows Health status and such. You could also test it with this: SSDlife Free Download - Softpedia

Something that i can stress the SSD?

I have activated Verifier, I have that on for about 3 weeks now, and im not stopping it. Just to get the BSOD.

Test it with another program I mentioned above, and run a performance test within Samsung Magician. Post back the results and we will continue troubleshooting. You can also include fresh minidump files.
EDIT: I see you have, OK, how old is your GPU? What's the idle/ load temp?
You can post a SS of a software like Speccy which monitors your PC's temps.

Stress test your GPU using FurMark
Code:
[B]FurMark download site[/B]: [URL="http://www.eightforums.com/redirect-to/?redirect=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ozone3d.net%2Fbenchmarks%2Ffur%2F"]FurMark: VGA Stress Test, Graphics Card and GPU Stability Test, Burn-in Test, OpenGL Benchmark and GPU Temperature | oZone3D.Net[/URL]
[B][U]FurMark Setup:[/U][/B]
 - If you have more than one GPU, select Multi-GPU during setup
 - In the Run mode box, select "Stability Test" and "Log GPU Temperature"
Click "Go" to start the test (Looks like it's "BURN-IN test" now)
 - Run the test until the GPU temperature maxes out - or until you start having problems [B](whichever comes first)[/B].
[B]NOTE:[/B] Set the alarm to go off at 90ºC. Then watch the system from that point on. If the system doesn't display a temperature, watch it constantly and turn it off at the first sign of video problems. [B][U]DO NOT[/U][/B] leave it it unmonitored, it can [COLOR=red][B]DAMAGE[/B][/COLOR] your video card!!!
If the temperature gets above [COLOR=red][B]100ºC[/B][/COLOR], quit the test - the video card is [U]overheating[/U].
 - Click "Quit" to exit

[B]What you are looking for: [/B]
- excessive heat from the GPU (report back with anything over 90ºC)
- problems with the video display (picture is distorted or jumbled, picture turns black, etc)
- problems reported by the program (I haven't seen this, but "just in case")

A system file is blamed, but that's highly unlikely. The GPU drivers are still shown as the culprit in some of the BSODs.
Create a system restore point and try this method: Nvidia - Nvlddmkm.sys error message

Hi Sveibuen ^_^,

Let's check your latest dump file.
Code:
0: kd> knL
 # Child-SP RetAddr Call Site
00 fffff800`00b9c098 fffff800`02ccd169 nt!KeBugCheckEx

0a fffff800`00b9cc40 00000000`00000000 nt!KiIdleLoop+0x5a
The function is a part of the "ataport.sys" which is a driver responsible for handling your devices (Hard Disks, CD/DVD Roms) connected to the system. Furthermore, it is a Windows Driver which is calling a page fault which is unusual.

Let's check the second dump-
Code:
4: kd> knL
 # Child-SP RetAddr Call Site

08 fffff880`03778c40 00000000`00000000 nt!KxStartSystemThread+0x16
In all these dump files, the operation being performed is a Write operation. The function in RED is again causing a Page Fault. (Thanks Mysers Briggs) It's most likely a driver bug since function in RED is trying to acquire a resource which is absent in the memory.

Kindly, follow the below steps in order -
  1. Before proceeding further, kindly do a BIOS settings RESET so that the BIOS settings are reverted to STOCK settings. This is just to ensure that the system is not overclocked.
  2. Till the time we are troubleshooting, kindly remove Emsisoft from the system using this **TOOL**.
  3. The Intel Processor Driver, your SATA/IDE drivers or the chipset drivers are outdated. Kindly download and install ALL updates and drivers from this **LINK**. (I hope this is the correct link for your motherboard?)

Also, are you getting these random crashes in Safe Mode as well?

If you are still getting the Blue Screens, kindly re-run the Diagnostic Tool and upload a freshly generated ZIP File.
Also, upload a Complete Memory Dump file using the below guide (Make sure your C: drive has at least 25% free space in it)-
https://www.sophos.com/en-us/support/knowledgebase/111474.aspx
The Memory Dump would be located at "C:\Windows\Memory.dmp"

That is why I have suggested him to do that fix. GPU drivers were most suspicious to me from the very beginning.
