Bingo, and we have a winner here. Two, actually and I can't believe I'm being kind enough to go against how I said I would not touch with 3rd party a/v.

Check your timings compared to the SPD - they are way off.

Set the bios manually to reflect SPD timings.

After, I suggest a run of from elevated prompt:

chkdsk /r

Reboot as it asks. Choose Y.

ALSO - YOU INSTALLED NORTON WHICH IS NOW CRASHING SYSTEM ??????????? <<<<< AMAZING I MIGHT SAY, HERE - AS IN, ARE YA KIDDING? lol MY MIND ONLY ACCEPTS THIS AS SOME KIND OF JOKE PLAYED. (Um, use the tool to remove it.) <<<< Just showing honesty of thoughts, is all.

Yeah, it can't hurt to update BIOS, but that's not the real fix (or probably not anyway - just good to do - go for it.) You need to set the timings like I said already (that's why I said it.)

ok , i tried to do that but my motherboard (990fxa-GD65) has 3 option (ECO , Standard , OC )

there's no timing changing option in Standard mode which i m using ryt now but available in OC mode which i can't use ryt now because i m using stock cooler also my processor is a heatburn , it heats highly (temperature remains about 80-86 )

so any suggestions what to do now ?

Hey mate,

Apologies for sort of hijacking the thread earlier. Just to make sure, since you first got the computer, you've not changed any BIOS settings, and the only cause of the BSODs was the reinstallation? If so, you might just try reinstalling again, assuming you don't have anything saved on it because of BSODs every startup. How are you able to get the log files if you are having so frequent BSODs?

since the installation of windows 8.1 , i am facing this problem , i already installed windows 8.1 about 3 times , still facing this problem

after BSOD at first startup , it doesn't show any other problems , so i m using windows 8.1 about 1 year till now
as i told before , when i start my pc then crash & restart , thn windows run smoothly .......

Alright mate, update your BIOS to the latest. Assuming your System Specs tell exactly which computer motherboard you are using - which should be MSI -
BIOS Update tool (FOR WINDOWS 8.1 x64! Not sure if OS type matters for this file or not, but you can change it from a drop down menu): MSI Global 990FXA-GD65

Update the BIOS before moving on further

After that, double check the inside of your computer. Make sure all dust is cleared, all hardware is seated properly, and no cable has come loose. This is unlikely an issue if you haven't been inside the machine yet, but at least you'll get the dust.

I highly recommend this next step, which is to reinstall. This time, however, you'll be following the tutorial. Let me know your thoughts on this.

One more thing. Before installing any programs after all is said and done above, make sure you install the correct drivers. I am assuming once again you are using MSI motherboard. Am I correct? Are you planning on a 32bit or 64bit Windows 8.1 install? Depending on which type, you will need to install the latest drivers from the website (not the DVD). It will take a small while to download all the correct drivers and install, but it is important that you get the right ones. After that, make sure windows itself is updated to its fullest. Now see if you have any BSOD problems.

If not, problem solved (Read on*). If you are still having problems, it could very well be hardware (instead of software) related, so let me know.

*If solved, consider keeping a close eye on what you install. MC was correct in stating that AV programs can cause problems, though I disagreed to how bad they can be. Use Defender, or ask around about a good antivirus that doesn't cause system stability issues. You should already know my preference from this thread, but everyone has an opinion about AV programs. If you go to our system security section, malwarebytes and avast are both listed as stickys. Both are good to have, or use Defender and malwarebytes. Search the section more to hear different opinions, or post a question there for help: System Security - Windows 8 Forums
Malwarebytes is just an additional scan that is very good to have, but not super important to have. Of course it will be your choice on this matter of an antivirus program, but be careful. Some are just plain terrible AV programs. Always use an uninstall tool or uninstaller to remove antivirus products if you need to get rid of them, and never have more than one installed (malwarebytes is NOT an antivirus program). Ask if you need any help or suggestions

So sorry, I read a bit more of your post. Very important that you not cook your computer. If you burn out the hardware, it is quite obvious why you are having so many crashes. TEMPERATURE!!!

Cool it down. If it gets too hot, either turn it off, or exit the program making it hot, whichever method best cools it down. What ever you have to do to get it cool, either with new hardware, fans, or something else, do it. My methods above will mean jack squat if you are able to bake potatoes off your motherboard lol

60C (computer temp) can be warm. This is not scientific, but anything above 70C can be dangerous. You will want to research about computer temps, and ensure yours do not melt your hardware

The warmer the temp, the quicker hardware will wear out. This can explain why BSODS are happening suddenly though nothing was done to the computer. If your hardware IS cooked already, you may have to shell out to buy new hardware. Finding which hardware is causing the problems can be quite difficult, but I may be able to help if needed. I would basically search for hardware tests for you to take to see what computer parts are salvageable, assuming there is no remedy from cooling the computer down.

My problem is fixed , i brought new cooler & make default is OC mode , changed ram speed to 1666 bus

although it takes sometime to start the pc but no more crashing
