Solved Broken Icon In Windows Games Folder

Hi, I've been having an issue trying to delete a broken icon from an uninstalled game of mines in the Games folder. Whenever I open up the folder it gives me an option to uninstall it and takes me to the Uninstaller in the Control Panel but I've already uninstalled the game so that's no help.

Other than that option there is nothing else I can do to the broken icon. Clicking on it does nothing.

If I can get this issue resolved I'll really appreciate it. Thanks! :thumb:

Hi there and welcome to EightForums!

Some left over files must have remained. If not, you can remove the entry from the programs list and also left-over registry entries (see below for more details).

Delete the left-overs of that game in the game folder. If the folder is empty, try to run a registry scan with CCleaner to see if any registry entries of the game remained.

If the game was fully uninstalled then you can also delete the entry with CCleaner on the Tools -> Uninstall option.
That way you remove the game from the list of programs.

That should do it.
