I would like to start off and apologize because I don't know what topic to post this under (Any admin can feel free to move it to the correct topic) and I apologize if someone has already asked this question but I didn't know what to search.
Ever since switching to Windows 8 I've pretty much got used to everything except for this one problem.. How can I bring back the ability to simply click on a photo/file and view the data right from the folder (Date Taken, camera model, date modified) (Please see screenshot from windows 7) Hope someone can help! Thanks!
as far as i know. not possible except for the item count & library options.though you could see the details by right-clicking on the pic & viewing it's properties you could see the screenshot of mine.hope this helps.

Thanks for the reply! Unfortunately thats exactly what I'm trying to work around. Its a bit inconvenient for me to open the properties menu to find out the data
That doesn't look like a normal Windows 7 view to me (but I could be wrong). I see that you have ACDSee installed and that may be where all that information is coming from. Anyway, you can go to the folder in question, right click it, select view, select details, select choose columns, and add entries as required. This should give you some of the information you are looking for if you are willing to use the details view. Hope this helps you. Good luck.
