Best video/audio convertor

I used to use handbrake on a mac but am looking to convert mp4's to wav or mp3, can anyone help me...?

any AV editor should allow you to export the audio to wav or mp3.

you can use Winamp for WAV. you can use Audacity for either wave or mp3.

I tried both and neither would convert any video files including flv.s and mp4's to wav's or mp3's

Are there any other ways of doing this?

that's odd. I've converted all my MP4's to mp3/wav with audacity. You just load up the video file and then go to export to mp3 or wav. make sure you have the mp3 plugin installed.

same thing with WinAmp. make sure you select Nullsoft Disk Writer as your output plugin and make sure you choose a file destination.
