ASUS RT-56U USB attached network HDD not recognized by Win8

Just upgraded yesterday from Win7-Win8. Upgrade went mostly smooth, except I cannot connect to my network hard drive. I have confirmed that everything is setup to use WORKGROUP, and all of the other 3 win7 machines (and this machine prior to upgrade) recognize the drive.

Ideas?

I am running the RT-N56U router and can confirm that usb drives attached to the router are accessible in Win8 Pro.

Not sure what to recommend. Mine is configured with Homegroup rather than Workgroup. My RT-N56U is also running Padavan's firmware.

Thanks for the response iDave. I was also on Padavan firmware, but I was on the 1x version instead of the 3x version.

All I had to do what upgrade firmware and do a factory reset, and things are fine. Slightly confusing, but oh well it is fixed!
