Asus GPU Tweak and Afterburner

Previously, I had an nvidia GTX 570 GPU on my system. I attained two Asus R9 280x cards that I put in Crossfire. I had to update my BIOS and reinstall Windows 8 in order for my system to recognize the cards. Long story short, Asus GPU Tweak was causing a BSOD due to one of its drivers (IOMap64.sys). I posted in the BSOD section and usama helped me to identify the problem and fix it. I uninstalled Asus GPU Tweak as well as Afterburner. Afterburner was not giving me any problems. Is Asus GPU Tweak needed for my cards? Would Afterburner be better to use to just set up a custom fan profile? Thank you for any suggestions.

Afterburner will be fine, I've used it on my HD7850-DC2T and my GTX 780 with no problems. I uninstalled GPU Tweak pretty quickly.

Thank you. I will stick with Afterburner then. Another issue I JUST started running into was when my computer turns off the display, at times it won't come back on when left alone for a while. My current settings were to never put the computer to sleep and to never turn off the hard disk. I was looking through the settings and noticed USB Settings | USB Selective suspend setting. I disabled that. My driver is also at 13.200 and the Asus website has an update 13.251 that I'm going to install. Would this be a fix for that problem?

If you have access to the EVGA utilities, they also work with the ASUS branded NVidia-based GPU's. I have found the EVGA utilities to be much more stable, even when used with MSI, Gigabyte and ASUS NVidia graphics cards...
