to be fair it all depends on what your doing, the amd 1100t did just as well as the i7 in certain programs and when we talk about differences in time scale it's seconds not hours the differences are pointlessly small.
intel don't make discrete gpu's so that's one thing less to worry about, at that point your better picking either Amd or Nvidia both have their merits and neither will disapoint, as with everything you get what you pay for, Nvidia are priced a little higher however.
as for a cpu, well it really does depend on what you wish to do, are you doing high end photo and video editing? then get an I7 or amd equivelent.
if not then get an i5 for gaming or an i3 or amd equivilent to suit your needs.
the above mentioned g620 is a sandybridge dual core probably on par with the low to mid range i3 offerings considering it's price it's rather surprisingly nippy at normal desktop work loads.
