I recently bought a pretty old, upgraded desktop that came running Windows 8. It's fine for what I need but I can't find the ancient Radeon 1200 graphics card in device manager. I'd only really need it so my son can play some basic games that work on another even older PC I use. I know it's unlikely being so old but can anyone please tell me if there is there a fix at all for this? Thanks

Actually, AMD relented and DID put out newer drivers for Windows 8 for the HD 2x/3x/4x-series cards -- I know because I'm using them with my HD 4290.

However, the do not have such drivers for the X1xxx series cards. They discontinued producing them some years ago.

So, as brkkab123 indicated, you are stuck with the Basic Display Adapter drivers. Sorry.
