i got this very weird problem and have been researching it for the longest time. i probably found the most relevant info on this forum, so i thought it might be worth a shot to ask here. it is very similar to the thread here : https://www.eightforums.com/bsod-crashes-debugging/6044-windows-8-64bit-reboot-wake-sleep-2.html
basically, there's no issue with my rig, other than SLEEPing. when i let the com sleep (be it manual or after 10mins idle), and upon resume (doesn't matter whether it's by keyboard/mouse/power button), it runs for 2seconds, switches off, then reboots itself (which would of course present itself as a failed shutdown because it loses power during that brief period).
i was previously using win7 x64 and had exactly the same problem out of the blue. then, i did a clean reformat and installed win8 pro. same problem still haunts me.i heard it's a device driver problem, but i just can't nail which is it. i have attached the relevant dump files here. W8.zip
hope a kind soul can help me to analyze this issue.
thank you so much!
