A Couple Questions

Not having a start menu sucks. Finding programs quickly is so difficult now! -_-
open start, type in the name of the program ,click the icon to run program

When you say Start, are you talking about this?

If so that's exactly what i don't want. I want to know how to disable it. I did disable it a couple days ago, but it seems to have enabled itself again and now i can't figure out how to get the proper start menu back :p

You can get something back only if it was already there before. "The proper start menu" you are talking about doesn't come preloaded with Windows 8/8.1.

Did you ever install any 3rd party start menu such as Classic Shell etc.?

If not, you might like to do some googling/binging.

Good luck.

that is the main win8-8.1 start sceen, and it cant be disabled ,and if you click on the arrow you will get the rest of the apps that are on the computer to show.
if you want something like you had in win7 then you have 2 choices ,go back to win7 or install a 3rd party star app ,some out there re start8 -classic shell, some cost some free, good luck
i googled it for you ,have a look

The thing is, i have Pokki (Pre-installed on all new Lenovo laptops to get around the Windows 8 tile menu), but for some reason can't find how to enable it. Really wish i remembered what i did last time -_-
