I'm running Win 8.1 Pro 64bit.

On the start screen at bottom left is the down arrow that take you to the apps screen. Now this little arrow is half covered by the taskbar for several seconds and it really gets on my nerves.

Does anyone know where / how I can reposition the arrow so that it's a little higher above the taskbar.

Thanks.

Hi rubiicon, welcome to Windows EightForums! :)
Been a pet peeve of mine for some time too! Haven't got a clue how to move it, however, when I ran 'StartIsBack' alternative menu app, it repositioned itself properly! Go figure!

You could also "not show Store Apps on the taskbar" in Taskbar Properties to keep the taskbar off of the Start and Apps screens.

I think it's a glitch with the Taskbar reveal/autohide feature. With 'StartIsBack' the taskbar shows always, (or, at least you can set it that way), and the little switcher arrow sits properly:

With StartIsBack:

On a side note:

In my previous post, if you click on my two screenshots and switch between them rapidly, you can see the metrics of the screen change.
If StartIsBack is able to accomplish that on my PC, so should we! ;)
