Tried booting on my tower with this as a secondary HDD to diagnose it. Cant even boot with main main drive, gets stuck on Windows Starting screen. With the HDD removed it works fine.

UPDATE: I removed the harddrive and the laptop was able to enter the Windows 8 setup menu. Maybe this means the HDD is faulty?

Seems the BIOS update for the laptop is only applicable as an .exe application. Dont think Id be able to boot from this.

Ive already burned several CD's and DVD's and nothing seems to work. I will try and update the bios.

I just created a bootable USB drive with Wintoflash with windows 8. It did not work and continued to the samsung loading screen like it had previously. There does not seem to be any legacy option in the BIOS. I can get in the BIOS. Think it could be a HDD issue?
