WOW, must be nice!! lol here in northeast ohio, our biggest package is 80mbs down. IF you pay for that...the SOBS would trickle you down to 15-20...maybe. my kids would be in YouTube heaven with that speed!! LOL

i did... and i think i solved it. what i did was rename the network! the instruction say to be sure that network names match such as WORKGROUP, which mine DID match. i went to both computers, renamed the network to HOUSEGROUP and presto!! both computers appear in each others network folders...

now i dont. so a few days ago i was transfering files back and forth to/from my desktop running vista. there was a few times i couldnt see the vista in the network folder, but after a few minutes id see again. the other day and today, i cant see the vista at all in my network. the vista CAN...

I'm in the exact same boat as you. Been using vista since 2008. Ha! For what I do, it served me well. I'll admit though...I'm able to do more with win8.1 for my surveillance systems than vista could, aside from the minor glitches (self induced or not) ;)

So..I made a rather foolish mistake today and ended up refreshing my laptop. (It was a driver issue). So after it was done and it left the folder of all my previous programs to snatch up online I stated to look around in c drive and looked around in the folders. I'm still learning and getting...

After some reading on other forum sites such as android and HTC, the conclusion is that the device is not compatible with windows operating systems. No driver packages or change of settingings will work. I guess this is solved. Thanks for those who helped. :)

well this is what i came up with. when i got home tonight. i tried to send/receive another file from my Toshiba running w8.1 to my htc evo smart phone..fail. i then tried the same thing on all the other phones in my house, two Samsung s3's and a kyocera. after i paired them..WIN! the 3...

in my case, the devices are paired. phone sees laptop, laptop sees phone. try to send file from laptop to phone i get this .... when i send file from phone to laptop, i does nothing.
