I've been googling on this and this "antimalwaremigrationtask" thing may be something that my AV program (Norton) did during a recent change they did to their software that was coincident w/ my last Win 8.1 maintenance. Whatever the source, it's damned aggravating.

I'd like to be rid of the mail app, entirely, not just an account in it. When I try to email a poster in Craigslist, the damn thing shows up, takes the whole screen, and my normal email "app" (Thunderbird) is left without a copy of what I sent. How do I permanently get rid of this thing? Thanks

Two months ago, my Win 7 32 bit machine had a CPU failure. I got a new machine, used my old HDs, installed Win 8.1 64 bit o/s. I wasn't careful enough and I did the re-partition re-format operations over a few files that I should have set aside. But, I was able to recover them and the recovery...

There's no problem finding drivers for the the printer - it's just that they won't work with Win 8.1. The closest to an install I got, was clicking on the Lexmark printer and getting "false handle".

It worked fine in Win 7. I've come across some posts indicating the MS changed some things in W8 print facility. There should be some way aroundd this problem.

I've tried several installs, gone to Lexmarks's site, searched the web, and I can't get a Lexmark z730 inkjet driver, or a work around that might work. Do I resign myself to the inconvenience of using my XP laptop for the occasional print job, or can something be done? Thanks
