Ok, So i understand i can just install windows 8... I got 1 computer with windows XP, i will put linux on that. I have bought the windows 8 software on my Windows 7 pc if that matters. If u dual boot Windows 7 with Windows 8 now technically replacing the XP OS. Will this be ''legal''.

I can transfer my win xp to my 7 with dual booting then upgrade the xp installation?

Is it possible if you have 2 partitions to install windows 8 with an upgrade and keep windows 7? I have a windows 8 upgrade USB.

Oh, i tried it and it starts: just the asus recovery so in the first sight it seems working, but i dont wanna kill my laptop so im not sure..... but i see the Windows is loading files thing.... and then a screen telling me what to do

sorry i did not mention, the recovery thing is on a partition...

But why not use the partition? I have asus recovery but i have the cd to, but idk if the cd contains windows. On the cd it says: Driver&Utility ver2.0 . But if i choose asus recovery when starting the laptop i see the win7 start logo so im not sure

Hello, I have a originally windows 7 laptop and a windows xp computer. I upgraded my 7 laptop. But now i want windows 7 back on it, i have asus recovery but i dont know if i can use it after i upgraded to windows 8. And if i succeed to downgrade to 7, is it possible to install 8 on the win xp...
