Please note I am a complete novice - so kindly request replies to be suited - with thanks!
Windows 8.1
I did a sfc/scannow because my monitor went black a couple of time (not a monitor problem though!)
result:
Windows Resource protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them. Details are included in the CBS.Log windir\logs\CBS\CBS.log. For example C:\Windows\Logs\CBSD\CBS.log. Note that Logging is not currently supported in offline servicing scenarios.
I copied the Log to desktop, but have no idea what to look for! So it doesn't help me.
I read here on Eightforums an article from Brink about the option:
Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
tried this but
Result:
Deployment Image Servicing and Management tool
Version: 6.3.9600.16384
Error: 87
The online/cleanup-image/restorehealth option is unknown.
For more information, refer to the help by running Dism.exe /?.
Copied the Dim Log to Desktop but I am as equally ignorant on the information within, as I am with the CBS Log
so now I have no idea what to do???
would prefer avoiding the Refresh Option (have all kinds of Software installed)
uploaded LOGS and Sniping Tool shot - Hope I am not giving sensitive info away by doing this? - If so please kindly delete
thanks for any help and advice
