Check your wireless TCP/IP 4 and 6 properties to make sure you are obtaining all information automatically and you have nothing specified, and you have DHCP Enabled.

    Here's a screenshot of TCP/IPv4 (same settings for v6):

You might also want to try and uninstall that LAN to ensure there are no entries (that might have been required at the university) that are somehow affecting your wireless connectivity. It will reinstall to default on reboot.

Thank you. My settings for TCP/IPv4 are identical to the screen shots and for v6 apart from the advanced settings for v6 the IP addresses says "Automatic configuration only", don't know if this is normal. I will try uninstalling the LAN.

    Thanks

The v6 thing is OK. Could we also have a screenshot of your device manager with network adapters open?

I just went back and noticed the your default gateway is completely blank. Now, this could have been caused by you manual efforts to reset the stack or it may have something to do with the private network issue we previously discussed. Anyway, try downloading (and running) the Microsoft Fixit Tool from this page and let's see what happens:

Here is the screenshot of device manager and network adapters. I have had a look at the LAN, what is it that you are suggesting I uninstall? Is it some of the elements in the Ethernet properties?

If you have the latest drivers for your wifi device, go in the advanced button of your ipv4 properties and add the router address in the default gateway. Depending on make of router, should be 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1 that should fix it.

The Qualcom Ethernet controller. Once done, run the Fixit program and see if that fixes your issue; however, I'm bowing out because DMHolt57 seems convinced he has the answer so I'm sure he'll hang in there with you until you get your issue fixed. Good luck.

I uninstalled the Qualcom Ethernet controller, and then tried using the Fixit program however it stated that it didn't apply to my operating system. I tried the other method suggested on the link you sent me, the command netsh int ip reset resettcpip.txt and the result is attached. On restart the ip configuration appears to have changed, but I still have a limited connection.

No worries. Thanks for all your help, it is much appreciated.
