Alright, the USB is being created, and I'll check the BIOS now to make sure secure boot is disabled...

Yes popeye I saw it after my previous response, because it ended up on the previous page... haha, it tried to hide!

If the rufus thing fails, then I'll try the solution you found, thanks

As far as Secure Boot goes, it's set on standard, as it was before, and I cannot change that options, it won't let me get to it. But someone mentioned earlier today or yesterday that "standard" is okay, so we're good on that, I guess, I'm trusting the person who said it...

Well, the same thing happens, I end up on this screen no matter if I load from the USB or from the Hard Disc:

And there's a third option to load from, this one:

The one that says "Network Boot:...". If I load from that one, then I get this screen for 5 seconds:

And then it automatically ends up on the previous one again...

In this guide notice the tip at the bottom: How To Install Windows 7 From USB

    Attachment 46264

That guide seems good but be sure to change it over to Fat32 at the end as the tip says.
I'll try this now, I'll copy everything from the USB on my computer, then format the USB, then copy everything back...

That network boot is if you're on a network and they are pushing installs out to the users, it doesn't apply to you.

And I was the one who said I thought the Secure Boot setting was ok. Just a guess though as I'm not familiar with your BIOS. Really doesn't matter since you can't change it anyway.

Just make sure they are in the root directory and not inside a folder if you created one when copying. Sorry if a dumb comment but I've done such things myself.

haha yeah i know what you mean... Sure, they in the root directory...

It's funny, previously when I was installing the BIOS update, I could boot from UEFI, and it worked, but it would just take me to the same black screen with Legacy as it is continuously doing now...

I can't even start Linux Mint anymore, which I assume is still installed on the lap top's hard disc. But I may be able to start Mint with UEFI, I didn't try... Just a thought I'm throwing out there, maybe someone gets an idea...
