I just got a new computer with windows 7 ultimate. I decided to go ahead and buy the windows 8 upgrade for the $14.99. So I used the upgrade adviser to purchase. I also went ahead and made a USB install disk.
I have a couple of questions.
1. with the upgrade adviser, I selected to save files and settings. However, from what I read, I should do a clean install. Is it too late to change for a clean install? Will I be asked again later?
2. I have now changed my mind and want to hold off on upgrading, can I delete the ESD folder? Are there other upgrade adviser folders and files I should delete to remove it all?
3. Since I purchased the upgrade for $14.99, if I used the USB disk to do a clean install later, do I just enter the Win 7 Key that came with the machine when I am ready to upgrade?
4. Can I keep win 7 on this hard drive and install the upgrade on another hard drive and just swap drives in and out of the machine as I want to? This way, I can keep my win 7 as is ans slowly move to 8.
thanks,
Mike
