Well, glad you enjoyed it..
I won't go any deeper into the scenarios, but just for future reference, this is only the very tip of the iceberg.. haha..
OH I'M SURE ! I COULD'T IMAGINE ALL THAT IS 'OUT THERE' !
Unfortunately, in 2016, scams/schemes/pop-up/bloatware/malware/advertising fraud ... and just plain using the internet, there are so many crazy
NEW ways that hackers (by the way, when I say hackers, really I mean it's people trying to use your computer to make money.. things like clicking ad's and making you install things that gather information from your computer and the way you use it..
nope ! don't click on ads; don't install anything
; won't do that or changing you to use a different search engine instead of Google or Yahoo,
only use Google as opposed to people always thinking that everybody is stealing passwords or identity theft...)
We can get into that later when you get Windows 8.1 ha!
But I'm sure I'm not helping you feel more safe.. so I'll stop now! ha.
it's ok ! better to be overly -cautious !!
Keep the basic rule in mind, you are pretty secure if you just use your computer in a basic way.. (most people getting problems are people who are clicking and watching every random video on Facebook and/or Clicking on links and pictures in emails they get they think are from friends... )
i know about that cute little ploy ! i click on no 'hyperlinks' in any emails even when appearing to be from 'friends' - certainly not ''warnings' from a known bank, insurance company, credit card company that they will impound my car if i don't update my account so click here' type of ploy !
so I tell you all this, and it may be a lot to handle
, but remember, it's more geared towards people who actively install programs from the internet or get emails that want you to click on things.. or watch videos.. or click to read articles or documents from an email or webpage that you shouldn't be on in the first place.
And I have a feeling you probably aren't doing those things..
you're right !
see what I mean? think like that.. and you'll be pretty safe.
ok thanks!
I promise this will be my last "scary" post of bad things out there !
