VMWare Player and Guest OS - corn-fused

Hi, I am running VMWare Player on an i5 -x64 laptop running win8.0 and want to buy win 7 Home to be the Guest OS for the Player.

Do I need to get the x64 or the x86 version of win7? Either x64/x86 will be fine for my needs once installed and running in the Player.

I posted this on the VMWare forums but have been totally ignored. {sigh}

Does not matter, I have both 64 & 32 running with Windows 8.1 x64 as host

OK, thanks, I saw Home Premium x86 for 10-bucks less than x64, so will go for x86.

Yep, I have a 32-bit XP guest running on my 64 8.1.

I assume all i5 processors have VT-x in the features list, but yes: you are safer with the x86 version, for less bucks or not.
