I have a computer with an Hard Drive (HD) capacity of 465GB, with 422GB remaining before this happened. I was doing a recovery of my old files from an old HD using Lucid Puppy. I did it twice, as the first recovered very little. After the second time, and a bit of an improvement, but during the second time the recovery stopped because there wasn't any space left. I exited and rebooted (since Lucid Puppy requires booting with it to work) and I saw that I had no more storage. I deleted the first folder from the first attempt (as most were copied in the second one), and I got back close to 80GB on my HD. The second folder is 83GB, and that's the total I expected, however that wouldn't have caused a great decrease in GBs. In fact, while the Windows/C: drive says 83GB, if you highlight the folders inside C:, you would get 150GB total which is mostly likely what I actually have used.
Something is wrong. Malwarebytes didn't see anything, nor did SUPERAntispyware. I thought about CCleaner, but that could only clean 800+MB. I have been doing attempts to fix the problem, such as turning off system protection, and going into safe mode. Nothing has worked. I have been given suggestions such as Disksavvy, which I don't know if that'll work, but also given the direction of decreasing the C and create and format a new partition, all of which I don't know how to do, nor am'I comforabtle doing it because this computer is new.
All I know is that C: drive says 83GB, inside the highlighted folders say 150GB, used out of 465GB total. I need help, someone please help me.
