I reserved the Windows 10 upgrade on my 8.1 laptop. At least I thought I reserved it only.
I was reading a web page and noticed my DSL data light blinking like crazy.
I finally went to "windows update" and it showed Windows 10 was downloading (12% complete).
I cancelled it.
I changed the update settings to manual.
Now when I check for updates, Windows 10 starts downloading again, so I cancel it again or it indicates Windows 10 failed.
No other updates appear, just Windows 10.
Apparently I clicked the wrong thing and now I can't get out of this loop.
My question is, how do I get back to where when I check for updates manually the important and recommended updates appear and the Windows 10 update does not appear?
Thank you for helping me get out of this mess.
