    Metro Supporters IQ Test

I asked a group of Windows 8 purists who support Metro if they could define the word "imbecile".

They said they couldn't understand the question. And was it a verb, or a noun, as they couldn't find it in the Thesaurus in Office Word.

One slightly more enlightened respondent, whose IQ was just slightly above the entry threshold, suggested the word imbecile might be a synonym for "Purchasers of Windows 8".

Although he was correct, (purchasers of Win8 would have to be imbeciles), I think he meant antonym!

Yes, of course. It applies to supporters of Metro. That's the whole point of the story.

Anyone who prefers a system that supplies no extra benefits to it's predecessor, removes many crucial benefits of it's predecessor, and enforces the Metro monstrosity on its users ... would have more than a shot at the title ... they'd auotmatically qualify as a black belt imbecile!

And then to try to defend the indefensible .... well!

That would be like the two inmates in the asylum, where one kept saying he was Napoleon. The other insisted he wasn't. The claimer to the title asked the other guy how he knew he wasn't Napoleon? He replied: Because I'm God! God being the self-assessed status of Microsoft with Metro. The thought springs to mind of "the blind leading the blind"!

Wake up and smell the roses! It's about consumer preferences ... and Metro ain't it!

Change for the sake of change rarely is a good thing. All too often companies want to change things simply because they are controlled by people who think that new is always better and that if something is old but still works that there is something wrong with it.

BMW used to have slogan, "Evolution not revolution."

That is a lot of emotional horse dung. When you have a real problem, I will be glad to talk to you.

Exactly my point. That's what the supporters of Metro are throwing around. And hoping some of it will stick.

Like I said, wake up and smell the roses! Read the world wide reactions to Metro.

I never asked you to talk to me, and I don't have a problem because I won't be buying Windows 8. Metro's the problem and it's very real.

So if you want to put your money where your mouth is, I'll glady offer 100:1 odds on the outcome when the retail version hits the market, if it's still in it's current format. You might want to bookmark this post so you can refer back to it when that happens ... and tell me I'm right! Am I right ... or am I right!
