    How can i remove last name from my username?


    Hi, pls help i did it on my laptop without putting my ms account on installation but now ive put it pls help

    you lost me here J9887, you do that in user accounts, but i guess you lost me here, right?

    Why don't you create the right account and use that one?

    See this tutorial. See post #2 in this thread. I include the second link because it contains some info possibly not included in the first. You'll only want to create one new user though. I presume you'll want to create a new administrative user. To get started go to Control Panel > Users from the desktop or get there using the first tutorial link. Put the new password you want to use (or none) on the new user account. The old password will go away when you delete the old user account.

    Okay i went to user settings and switched to local account there everything was fixed :] it wa snot a local account it was a microsoft account and i was wondering how to change it since you must put both first and last name. Anyway thanks for trying to help :]

Why did you choose to use the username you have? I went with Windows 8 because I was shocked someone else hadn't taken in already, and I kinda felt like having an appropriately themed username :p. (This is Windows i7 920 from SevenForums).
