Hey guys,
I need someones insight on my current situation,
I have a newer dell laptop and I have purchased a 512gb crucial ssd to replace the current hdd, after looking around i figured it would be relatively easy to clone and upgrade my current hdd, what i did not anticipate was that my current hdd is one of those sshd hybrid drives where it is 1000gb with 8gb of flash storage. It seems to be causing problems cause i tried cloning the c: partition to my new hard drive and swapping the hdd and booting, upon startup i just get a blue screen saying checking media and then an error, but when i swap back to my old one it works normally. Has anyone here had to deal with this before? All i want to do is keep my files and os and get the new drive working and it is proving problematic, there's not a lot of information online pertaining to this problem and anyones input would be appreciated.
Thanks,
JR
