    Excellent work Wenda.

The overall look is so nice.

I also like the way you have your tiles so well organized.

    Thanks, DaddyG.

Speaking of the overall look, here's the matching 'All Apps' screen (well, part of it, it's about seven feet long!!).

    Wenda.

EDIT: - An interesting side-effect of using transparency on my Start-screen tiles is that my charm/settings bar, shutdown and start-up screens, and lock screen are all now a nice dark charcoal shade instead of the garish Windows colours they were before.
I've only just started using tile transparency, so hadn't noticed this effect before. Good one!
Oh, and if you make the Start-screen background transparent, guess what you can see underneath? Yep! The desktop (although you can't interact with it)!...

I would suggest to clean up All Apps of superfluous links to make it a couple feet long.

Pretty cool either way! Also, the rumors of baby tiles in Windows 8.1 aren't rumors, it's an actual thing and yes they are awesome. I've tried them myself with a leaked build, YES!

Have they improved keeping the old desktop? Is there a way to set it up so the Windows 7 desktop will come up automatically without having to click on a icon to bring it up? That is what is keeping me from upgrading. Also, I keep going through Windows Upgrade Assistant to check what programs are compatible. I still have nine that are showing up not compatible. If I upgrade is there a site that completely describes 8 and how to use all the various attributes? Sorry for all the questions, I really love 7 and need some reassurances before I make the jump.
