Went back to see previous posts here, and a guy here (forgot his username, but did get rep points from me) gave me an idea.
Since I never use my default start screen, I decided to customize it.

First attempt, I'll be working on it more when I have some free time.

Very nice - I like it - moving towards Windows 10.

Most of what happens on this windows 8.0 system
is multimedia playback a.k.a. - full screen only video ...

Like your transparency CS.

From time to time will use 8.1 to run animation videos as background on start and all apps views. However, 8.0 only can do single row start screen tiles. Have 10 - 8.1 - and 8.0 on separate SSD's. Prefer 8.0 with full immersive apps. Love that immersion. Love that left edge UI. These simple links can do what is necessary on this pc. Everything else available by start screen hot key results.

Well, this is the eight forums. I have tried 10 build after build after build. Although occasionally bored, 8 still rules for this user. The 10 menu goes up and down, unlike 8. I like going side to side with immersion
... and the mouse pointer can move the page sideways.

I want to thank the programmers at Microsoft for build 9200.
Like others that will remain unsupported with older operating systems, I plan on staying here.

If anyone suggests that a user must upgrade ! why ? if the system is clean and works properly.
You must upgrade to get security updates, really?
Unless a system doesn't work, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it"

I can unplug this machine for months or permanently from the net and it will continue to work just fine.

If one has to upgrade to do online banking
because the net is too risky to use without Windows 1000 Unlimited Infinity,
then I will just pull the plug.

Without any customization, this works.
