The rumor mill as now posted on several sites that Windows 9 is now going to be coming out in November 2014.

That's what I'm hoping for and I think they're heading in the right direction with Windows 8 and Surface.I just hope they get it right soon with desktop and phone. When there will be no need use for Android and IOS.
Thanks, Lee. Don't worry I won't shoot.
Wow! That's 20 months away. I was hoping it would be sooner. Not that is matters because I'm enjoying 8, but I'm awful curious as to what it is.
Just like they used 7 as an excuse to upgrade, being a fixed version of Vista you mean?
Hilarious, you are getting your excuses in now.
For some reason it works perfectly fine on my non touch screen monitor, and I personally have never needed or wanted two monitors, but I can understand some professionals having the need for them. I very seldom even have more than one window open at a time unless I'm copying or moving files.Honestly? I do kind of think Microsoft is doing too much with Windows 8.
I have to say Windows 8 is (mostly) great on tablets and pretty great on laptops, but in reality it's pointless on desktops. especially when you have more than one monitor.
The future of Windows really doesn't work on destops. Unless it's those star-trek like touchscreen systems
I have personally never used multiple monitors, but I have heard plenty of people say Windows 8 works perfectly on multiple monitors, but others not. Surely the people who say its not working for them have to be doing something wrong or there is something wrong in their hardware setup or drivers.I have 3 monitors on my main desktop. windows 8 works pretty great for me. multiple apps/programs across multiple monitors.
It would appear that Microsoft is looking to the Apple way of putting out a new upgrade every two years (10.0, 10.1, etc.). This is not a bad way of doing improvements. It will allow Microsoft to put out updates as OS X does, thus not needing the SP's.
Apple for the last three major changes to their OS X have charged $29.95 per upgrade (Leopard, Lion, etc.) instead of the precious $139.95 giving the users a large break on cost, also allowing them an out to upgrade. If Microsoft uses this method it would be a good way of giving the folks using Windows to upgrade without breaking their bank (one of the main reason Windows user give for not upgrading).
Seems the rumors have some truth to them, at this point it's better to just stay on Windows 7 (if you're thinking about upgrading to Windows 8/Blue) and wait for Windows 9 (Beta) which will probably a lot like how Windows 7 is to Vista unless of course you want to get ahead and slowly familiarize yourself with Metro UI cause I think Metro is here to stay in Windows 9.
