How to Create a "Print Queue" Shortcut in Windows 7 and Windows 8
Information
A print queue is a representation of a print device (physical printer) in Windows. The print queue displays information about documents that are waiting to print, such as the printing status, document owner, size, and number of pages to print. You can use the print queue to view, pause, resume, restart, and cancel print jobs.
This tutorial will show you how to create a shortcut that opens directly to the print queue of an installed printer of your choice in Windows 7 and Windows 8.

OPTION ONE
To Create a "Print Queue" Shortcut from Devices and Printers
Note
This option is the easiest method to use, but you will only be able to use the shortcut on your desktop or in Quick Launch.

2. Under the Printers section in "Devices and Printers", right click on a printer (ex: Samsung Universal Print Driver 2), and click/tap on Create shortcut. (see screenshot below)
3. A print queue shortcut for this specific printer will now be created on your desktop. (see screenshot below)
NOTE: You can rename this shortcut anything you like.
Note
Some printers will have this shortcut open to their own printer options type window like below first, where you could then select to "See what's printing" to open it's print queue.
Note
4. When finished, you can close Devices and Printers if you like.
