It doesn't matter if the USB is detected as removable since it's suppose to be on an USB flash drive.
The problem is that the USB is not at least 32GB in size. It only shows as 29.8GB.
Yes, it does matter . However, there are ways to make a removable drive appear as fixed:
Windows To Go Info and Creating a Windows To Go on a removable USB drive
There's lots of literature out there on the web that any old drive will work, and that just isn't true. If you go with a drive NOT on the list I posted above, then you will have to hack your usb drivers and device (like the link above - there may be others, but this is the least destructive to an existing install) and take your chances. I don't recommend doing that, but to each his or her own.
