Trying drastic measures decided to do another clean install of Windows 8.1 Pro. I will monitor crashes for awhile with limited software and drivers. Just having main drivers for system, chipset, ACHI controller, Intel Management Engine, graphics card driver and Important Windows updates.
Slowly put back some other software drivers like sound device, printer as I know no crashes occur, then so on. This can also tell me if any hardware is failing could of caused this issue. Leave many third party software till the end. As this may take weeks, had no other clues on what other approaches to take. will determine which software or driver was doing it. Also make sure to make system restore points at each time I know it does well for days after installing something back.
So far no crashes since yesterday at 8pm after fresh install, had it on for hours as I was also doing some windows updates and today for few hours.
Usually was happening not long after boot up.
Update: No crash since this was posted as of April 21 in afternoon. Today April 24, so far it's good. Post back with any other results as time goes on and all is hopefully good after any other installations of driver or software.
Update 2: No explorer crashes since 21th today being 26th. Also added printer driver and Firefox browser.
