Solved Windows 8 stuck at reset your pc.

If you think you have the full install media, then you can boot it up and reinstall. Just follow the prompts. It is pretty easy.

Probably wise not to format the partition you are aiming at. That way the contents will be saved into Windows.old folder ( If you have space)

You will need the esd folder if you want to try the upgrade to 8 palaver again.

To avoid formatting it by accident Do not click Drive options (advanced ) in step10.

Just point at the partition you want Vista to be on.

Clean Install with a Full Version of Vista

can't i just run the windows 8 installer from the website again, like the first time i upgraded ?

You might be able to. The windows setup.exe doesn't seem to like your key.

If you keep the esd folder at least you have it there, in case it refuses to d/l again.

Did you try renaming the hidden esd folder - to e.g. esd-1.

Then see if you can get the thing to d/l the 8.1 via the trick with the setupbox you tried earlier.

not such a big deal, you want to upgrade to 8 anyway.

If you are able to hunt round to find that, beats me why you can't find the 8.1 iso wzor leak.

If you have the 8.1 iso you can get it to install using the generic key I posted earlier.

Professional=XHQ8N-C3MCJ-RQXB6-WCHYG-C9WKB

It will run forever unactivated, it seems, but till you activate you won't be able to do a few metro personalisation things.

After you have installed it, you can then activate with your 8.0 Pro key. ( Not with the key for wmc, though. )

The original idea was to trick it into d/l ing 8.1 from the official source using windowssetupbox. That didn't work, coz you got the can't connect message. So the only thing left is to find it yourself.

i can't find the ISO, when I search it just comes up with how to get it from Microsoft Which I have tried.
one key says it's an update key and does nothing, the other key comes up saying it won't work in my country.

Perhaps because there is an incompatibility with your machine and 8.1

But that doesn't explain why I get windows 8 to refresh or reset .
